KARACHI ( 2009-04-29 23:20:09 ) :33 persons were killed and 18 others injured as in an armed clash between two groups here in Karachi on Wednesday, Aaj TV reported on Wednesday.
According to the channel, several vehicles were set on fire while the injured also included personnel of rangers and police.
Violence erupted when two armed groups opened fire at each other in Ajmer Nagri area. Three persons were killed and many others injured including the policemen and personnel of rangers, TV reports said.
The rangers are combing the area as gunshots continue to be heard in the area.
Several vehicles including passenger busses and a crane were set ablaze in the ensuing violence.
Two of the dead have been identified as Shahid and Mehmood who have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
